Sou fotógrafo de origem, com exposições no Rio de Janeiro, em São Paulo e em Lisboa. As séries começam na fotografia, em macro, longa exposição e viagens, e muitas seguem para a videoarte generativa: Vazante, A Superfície da Água, Ruína Carioca, Liquenscape, Mandala Yawanawá. Sou representado pela Bianca Boeckel Galeria, em São Paulo, e pela Brisa Galeria, em Lisboa.
A photographer by origin, with exhibitions in Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo and Lisbon. The series begin in photography, in macro, long exposure and travel, and many go on into generative video art: Vazante, A Superfície da Água, Ruína Carioca, Liquenscape, Mandala Yawanawá. Um trabalho de vanguarda que une a macrofotografia autoral à alucinação da Inteligência Artificial. Partindo de imagens das marcas efêmeras deixadas pela maré vazante nas areias de Alagoas, treinei uma rede neural para explorar o "espaço latente" entre o grão de areia e o pixel.
O resultado é uma série de vídeos generativos que desafiam nosso senso de escala, navegando fluidamente entre o registro natural e a imaginação sintética da máquina.A vanguard work uniting authorial macro-photography with Artificial Intelligence hallucinations. Starting from images of ephemeral marks left by the receding tide on Alagoas' sands, I trained a neural network to explore the "latent space" between sand grain and pixel.
The result is a series of generative videos that challenge our sense of scale, navigating fluidly between natural record and the machine's synthetic imagination.

A Superfície da ÁguaThe Surface of Water
A água carrega paradoxos visuais: transparência e reflexo, fluidez e rigidez momentânea. Esta série utiliza lentes macro para capturar a "pele" do rio, o exato ponto de tensão onde as correntes profundas encontram o ar, criando geometrias abstratas através da difração da luz.
Mais do que um recurso natural, a água é apresentada aqui como uma janela de vidro líquido, um espelho subjetivo que distorce a realidade e revela cores vibrantes invisíveis a olho nu.Water carries visual paradoxes: transparency and reflection, fluidity and momentary rigidity. This series uses macro lenses to capture the river's "skin," the exact point of tension where deep currents meet the air, creating abstract geometries through light diffraction.
More than a natural resource, water is presented here as a liquid glass window, a subjective mirror that distorts reality and reveals vibrant colors invisible to the naked eye.

Uma série de fotografias de longa exposição das folhas da Serra da Capivara, usando suas cores e texturas como pincéis e movimentos gestuais para criar composições que lembram o vento. O movimento do carro e o da mão entram no mesmo efeito. Milhares de imagens produzidas para curar apenas algumas.A series of long-exposure photographs of the leaves of the Serra da Capivara, using their colours and textures as brushes and gestural movements to create compositions that resemble wind. The motion of the car and of the hand join the same effect. Thousands of images produced to curate only a few.
AltinhaAltinha
Rodas de altinha filmadas em stop motion, em duas séries com dez anos de distância. A primeira é de 2011, na praia de Ipanema: três filmes curtos feitos com uma Nikon D300S, com a roda, as bolas no ar e a praia em volta. A segunda é de 2021, na praia do Leme, no primeiro fim de semana de praia lotada depois da pandemia: um filme de pouco mais de um minuto, feito com uma Nikon D810.Altinha circles shot in stop motion, in two series ten years apart. The first is from 2011, on Ipanema beach: three short films made with a Nikon D300S, with the circle, the balls in the air and the beach around it. The second is from 2021, on Leme beach, on the first crowded beach weekend after the pandemic: a film just over a minute long, made with a Nikon D810.
Ruína CariocaRuína Carioca
Sob meu olhar de ilustrador e designer, busco na geometria da Bauhaus e na solidão de Edward Hopper a inspiração para retratar o abandono. "Ruína Carioca" utiliza a arquitetura decadente de um prédio esquecido como metáfora visual para o momento delicado do Rio de Janeiro.
Paradoxalmente, as cores vibrantes e a luz que recorta as janelas vazias sugerem não o fim, mas uma estranha esperança e renovação natural diante da destruição.With my illustrator's eye, I draw on Bauhaus geometry and Edward Hopper's solitude to portray abandonment. "Ruína Carioca" uses the decaying architecture of a forgotten building as a visual metaphor for Rio de Janeiro's delicate moment.
Paradoxically, the vibrant colors and the light cutting through empty windows suggest not an end, but a strange hope and natural renewal in the face of destruction.

Criaturas da FlorestaForest Creatures
Forest Creatures é uma série de fotografias feitas no Parque Nacional Khao, na Tailândia, depois de uma sessão de limpeza profunda atrás dos mangues e de uma meditação profunda que levou a um sentido profundo de conexão e presença com a floresta. Estas imagens capturam o sentimento daquele momento. Foram expostas na exposição Habitat, na Galeria Bianca Boeckel.Forest Creatures is a series of photographs taken in Khao National Park in Thailand after a session of deep cleaning behind the mangroves and deep meditation that led to a deep sense of connection and presence with the forest. These pictures effectively capture the feeling of that moment. These were exhibited in the Habitat exhibition in Bianca Boeckel Gallery.

Experimento de fotografia e stop motion (pixilação) com os atletas de highline Alan Pinheiro, Igor Frizon e Bruno Migueis, em duas sessões: Pedra da Gávea, 2011, e Parque da Cidade, Niterói, no Carnaval de 2013. A série foi exposta pela Bianca Boeckel Galeria. Altos Carnavais é a videoarte que resultou dessas experiências.A photography and stop-motion (pixilation) experiment with the highline athletes Alan Pinheiro, Igor Frizon and Bruno Migueis, in two sessions: Pedra da Gávea, 2011, and Parque da Cidade, Niterói, during Carnival 2013. The series was shown at Bianca Boeckel Galeria. Altos Carnavais is the video art that came out of these experiments.

Mandala Yawanawá é um caleidoscópio feito a partir de fotografias em sequência e time-lapse do Mariri Yawanawá de 2011. Mostra a conexão com a natureza e recria, com a própria imagem dos Yawanawá, as geometrias dos kenes que eles pintam e fazem em suas artes com miçangas.Mandala Yawanawá is a kaleidoscope made from sequence photographs and time-lapse of the Mariri Yawanawá of 2011. It shows the connection with nature and recreates, with the Yawanawá's own image, the geometries of the kenes they paint and make in their beadwork.

From temple textures to the deep gazes of Sadhus, this series investigates the spiritual root of a culture where the sacred is not separated from the profane, but interwoven in every wall, fabric, and gesture.

Uma peregrinação visual ao berço da humanidade. Em 2008, documentei a dignidade silenciosa dos viajantes nas estradas e a fé inabalável nas igrejas escavadas na rocha de Lalibela. A série evita a superficialidade turística, buscando uma conexão profunda com a terra e a história.

In 2008, I documented the silent dignity of travelers on the roads and the unshakable faith in the rock-hewn churches of Lalibela. The series avoids tourist superficiality, seeking a deep connection with the land and history.
The images reveal an ancestral Christianity, preserved in stone and time-worn faces, capturing the essence of a people who carry their millennial traditions with pride and resilience.

Diferente do olhar distante de um documentarista, esta série nasce da co-participação. Durante a virada de 2011 para 2012, imergi nos rituais e festivais dos povos Huni Kui e Yawanawa, na Amazônia acreana.
As fotografias registram não apenas os corpos pintados e os cocares, mas a energia vibrante da cerimônia e a conexão espiritual indissociável entre a comunidade indígena e a floresta. É um registro de resistência cultural e celebração da vida.Unlike the distant gaze of a documentarian, this series is born from co-participation. Turning from 2011 to 2012, I immersed myself in the rituals and festivals of the Huni Kui and Yawanawa peoples in the Amazon.
The photographs record not just painted bodies and headdresses, but the vibrant energy of the ceremony and the inseparable spiritual connection between the indigenous community and the forest. It is a record of cultural resistance and the celebration of life.
